Global Elite Exposure Cmap
This past weekend we SSP traveled to Jackson, MS to check out some talent at the Global Elite Exposure camp. To no surprise there was plenty of talent on display at the MBA center. This event was loaded with promising guards and wings.
2023 6’5 Jacob Smith West Memphis, TN
Smith is an intriguing prospect who performed well this past weekend. He does all the small things well. He was very active on the boards and very fundamentally sound offensively. He has good footwork and a soft touch around the rim. He can also put it on the floor when needed. He will be one to watch going forward.
2025 5’7 Cayden Reed Maysville, KY
Reed embodies the qualities that most Kentucky players have, they ball. For a 6th grader he has elite handles and feel for the game and PG position. He gets down hill in a hurry and can find the open man with ease. He dished out countless no look assists and finished at the basket all weekend.
2023 6’1 Isaiah Spencer Jackson, MS
When it came to keeping the intensity up on both ends Spencer did just that. He was literally everywhere on the floor. Diving on loose balls, creating turnovers, and scoring at will. He as a nice frame and speed to go along with it. He’s equipped with the dog mentality that will allow him to always make an impact on the floor.
2023 6’5 John Kelly New Orleans, LA
One of the most skilled players at the camp was Kelly. He does a lot of things well. He can handle it well, defends, and finishes above the rim. The Highlight of the day happened when he threw an alloy to himself of the back board. Kelly passes the eye test and when he steps on the floor he doesn’t disappoint.
2023 6’7 Matthew Stokes Collierville, TN
When it comes to the eye test Stokes will turn heads in any gym. He has the look of an elite athlete. From the length, size, swagger he has it all. He runs the floor tirelessly, rebounds at a high rate, and can finish around the basket at will. Defensively he brings energy, always seeming to alter and block shots. Coaches put him on your radar now.
2023 6’5 Joshua Holman
Holman is one of the best up and coming bigs in Mississippi. His size is something that doesn’t go unnoticed. He has huge hands and long arms that allow him to rebound at a high rate. His scoring touch isn’t limited as he is able to put it on the floor and go back slower guys. His strength in the inside allows him to bully smaller forwards to get easy buckets. He’s worth following in the years to come.
2024 6’6 Rashad Williams
Williams is one of my top 3 from the weekend. He has so much skill and tons of upside. He can handle the ball well. He plays like most hybrid wings do nowadays. He can run the floor, finish around the basket, and make the game easier for others. On the defensive end he blocks everything and can start the fast break himself. He reminds me so much of Boston College signee Calvin Felder at this age. Coaches he’s a for sure D1 player already.
2024 6’5 Eric Paymon
Paymon was in attack mode from the start. He wasted no time letting others know he can score the basketball. He has a fearless mindset and he gets buckets at will. He can handle the ball well for his size and age. He has an advance offensive arsenal that he shows often. His ability to shoot the 3 ball will cause problems for a lot of players this spring/summer.
2024 6’2 Trey Petty Starkville, MS
Trey was the best PG at the camp this weekend. He had a great feel for the PG position. He gets downhill with ease and can score the ball effeciently in transition. He has an elite handle which allows him to get to his spots as well as set up others to score. He was limited to action this season due to a foot injury but he should make up for lost time this summer on the UA Future Circuit with MBA.
