Southern Spring Invitational - Standouts Pt.2

Part 2 of the guys who played at a high level over the weekend

(Alabama Fusion) 2020 6’ PG Mark Sears

Sears was one of my favorite guards i saw at the event. He’s smooth and collective and seems to never be sped up by opponents. He plays at a great pace and dots in and out of defenders reach effortlessly. He does a great job of finding his shooter on time, allowing them plenty of space to knock down open shots. When he attacks the defenders have to collapse due to him being able to finish well with both hands around the basket. Sears doesn’t shoot many 3s but when needed he can knock down the open shot. Right now he holds offers from UAB and South Alabama but that list will surely grow if he keeps performing the way he is.

(MEBO) 2020 6’7 SG Keondre Montgomery

Montgomery was one of the Top Shooting guards this weekend knocking down numerous 3s in almost every game. He has a lot of length and uses it well on both ends of the floor. He play above the rim which was evident on the highlight when he put his defender on a poster during a fast break. On a team with 4 star Ruffin they seem to have a nice one, two punch combo going. Recently picking up an offer from Seton Hall if he keeps knocking down 3s like he has been doing more school will be calling for the talented SG..

(Alabama Fusion) 2020 SG 6’4 Jaden Coleman

When it came to putting the ball in the hole Coleman did that effortlessly. He’s deadly off the catch and shoot, and will leave you wondering how the score got so bad so quickly. He handles it well enough to get to his spots and make you pay. His finishing at the basket is solid and he can knock down mid range jumpers as well. He holds an offer from Troy but expect that list to grow with all the coaches that will be coming in to check out the Fusion this summer.
